MCLE New England just released its 2nd edition of Adoption and Reproductive Technology Law in Massachusetts. Given the advancements in this area of law the 2nd edition was a significant update. Attorney Christine Hanisco authored the chapter on Embryo Law, which addresses the law governing the possession, use, and handling of embryos. It discusses disputes over custody – reviewing case law both within and beyond Massachusetts – and examines responsibility for unclaimed or abandoned embryos, donated embryos, and embryos that have been mishandled.
